Lesson 9: “He is my grandfather” &
“She is my grandmother”


Step 1

On the family tree below click the shape representing your grandfather (your father’s father). A small window will appear with the Northern Pomo phrase “he is my grandfather.” Click the play button to hear the Northern Pomo phrase being said.

Step 2

Use the recording tool in the small window to practice saying the Northern Pomo phrase until you feel comfortable with pronouncing it.

Step 3

On Worksheet 5 write “he is my grandfather” in Northern Pomo on the “he is my grandfather” line.

Now do Steps 1, 2, and 3 for your grandmother (your father’s mother).
