Lesson 1: My Father & My Mother


Step 1

On the family tree below click the shape representing your father. A small window will appear with the Northern Pomo word for “my father.” Click the play button to hear the Northern Pomo word being said.

Step 2

Use the recording tool in the small window to practice saying the Northern Pomo word until you feel comfortable with pronouncing it. (This tool works well on PCs, but may not function as smoothly on iOS devices.)

Step 3

On Worksheet 1 write the word for “my father” in Northern Pomo on the “my father” line.

(You can also fill in the names of your father and mother on the “Name” lines!)

Now do Steps 1, 2, and 3, for "my mother."

When you’ve finished, check the At the end of Lesson 1 box below to make sure you’ve completed all the activities for this Lesson.
