Step 1
On the family tree below click the shape representing your aunt (your father’s sister). A small window will appear with the Northern Pomo phrase “she is my aunt.” Click the play button to hear the Northern Pomo phrase being said.
SoundsStep 2
Use the recording tool in the small window to practice saying the Northern Pomo phrase until you feel comfortable with pronouncing it.
Step 3
On Worksheet 9 write “she is my aunt” in Northern Pomo on the “she is my aunt” line. Now that spot on your tree should have “my aunt” and “she is my aunt” written in Northern Pomo underneath it.
Now do Steps 1, 2, and 3 for your uncle (your father’s brother), and your cousin. When you click the shape representing your cousin, a window will appear with two sound files. One is a recording of the Northern Pomo phrase “he is my cousin,” and the other is a recording of the Northern Pomo phrase “she is my cousin.” Do Steps 1 and 2 with both phrases, then use whichever phrase is most appropriate for Step 3.
